Wecome to the new, completely unfinished and hardly updated at all page for the Queer Youth Initiative NI.

We were founded very recently by two leftie feminist queers - very soon we hope to establish a confidential and helpful service based on collective ethics, providing a voice for queer people in NI, information on LGBT issues (including info for heterosexuals dealing with friends/family members coming out), social events, and all that other good stuff.
If you want more info before we update again, just email:

Hey, look, its an update!

Mailing list!!
Guess what kids? We've just made a mailing list -
sorry, Kit made a mailing list, while a nameless queer bopped her heart out to The Thrills (for free!)
- and you can join it! Please do, it'll validate my existence.

Updates soon...
Heylo,

Things have been a little quiet here on the ol' site front. Sorry about that! Who would have thought we had lives to occupy our time?

Anyway, we had a fabulous time at this year's pride -- did you? We hope those of you who are involved in the scene had a fab pride week and for those of you who arent, our community got a lot of positive representation at pride! [we even got mentioned on Canadian radio, wooooweee.]

Anyway, as for the site - Coming within the next few days will be basic information on different sexualities with info links etc. Most of us know the simple definition - a gay person is this, etc etc. But how much does that really tell us? Not a hell of a lot, I reckon. This is where y'all can help out if you like - if you care to provide your own ideas, your stories or your oppinions, please get in touch (queeryouthni@yahoo.com).
I'll probably also put up my own story of coming out (gradually) - itll make you laugh, it'll make you cry, it might even make you fly.

Also coming soon is an overhail of the crappy links page (:p tess was responsible for that one!) and some information on an exciting new development on Northern Irish queerness!
Are you excited? I'm excited. Are you excited? You're excited.
